Overview

On this tour you will visit the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, home to more than 150,000 pieces of monuments arranged chronologically from the oldest to the newest. As you move through the galleries, your guide will explain the highlights and be happy to answer your questions. The museum includes the famous treasures of King Tutankhamen, found in his tomb in Luxor in 1922. Along the way you will pass through the centre of Cairo to reach a restaurant for lunch, then continue to the pyramids. There you will see the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykreinus, buildings that date back more than 4,500 years. While in the pyramids area, your guide will help you explore and you will also see the statue of the Sphinx, with the body of a lion and the head of King Chefren. The tour will finish with a break at a perfume house.
