So, I took my mum on the speedboat trip to Orange Bay & Magawish, and honestly, it was such a BLAST. The captain (Ahmed?) was super chill and even let us sit up front when the sea got a bit wobbly. We got to Orange Bay first—wow, the water is TURQUOISE like you wouldn’t believe. We did get a bit rushed with the snorkelling stop, but I still saw a bunch of stripy fish. Magawish is quieter, loved that. Bring snacks, as the food they give you is just a couple of biscuits and a juice box (no biggie, just saying). There’s a photographer who will follow you EVERYWHERE, so def be ready to say no than

Went with my girlfriend last week—speedboat was FAST, we both got pretty windswept haha. Orange Bay is beautiful but sooo packed, like everyone and their uncle was there. Magawish was the opposite, barely any people and more chill. Didn’t love the snorkel gear, mine leaked a bit but wasn’t the worst. Crew kept offering to take pics, kinda annoying but not a huge deal. Worth it for the views alone.

This trip was a dream! We went as a group of friends (5 of us) and had the whole boat to ourselves. Our guide was hilarious and told us random stories about dolphins. We actually SAW dolphins on the way back, which was EPIC and made me scream, not gonna lie. Orange Bay was busy but we got some sweet lounge chairs by the water. We brought our own snorkels bc I heard the ones they give you aren’t great (true). Drinks are a bit overpriced on the islands, so bring water. All in all, perfect day out.

Trip was good but not perfect. Transfer from hotel took forever (like 45 mins just picking people up). Boat ride was fun but Orange Bay was super crowded, barely found a spot to sit. Magawish is more peaceful. Snorkeling felt rushed and like, nobody really explained what to do if you’re new. Not terrible but could be better organized.

I went solo and it was honestly just what I needed. The sea breeze, clear water, and friendly crew made me feel totally safe and happy. Met another solo traveler and we swapped stories while chilling on Magawish (soooo quiet compared to Orange Bay). The sunset on the way back—GORGEOUS. Take a scarf or hat for the boat, it gets windy!
