You will spend the day immersed in Ancient Egypt, beginning with the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. Alongside these iconic monuments you will take in their scale and presence on the Giza plateau. As you move through this area, you will have time to appreciate the historic setting and the familiar forms that have defined Egypt for millennia. You will then visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world. There you will encounter a wide range of artefacts that illustrate pharaonic history and material culture. The experience ends with a visit to the Citadel of Salah El Din, where you will see the citadel’s historic architecture and the remains of its long-standing significance in Cairo’s past. Throughout the day you will move between major landmarks and key museum holdings, gaining a broad view of Ancient Egypt’s monuments and collections.
