Could not have asked for a better guide than Mahmoud. He let us take our time and made sure we learned all of the interesting histories of every place that we visited. He also made suggestions for other things we might enjoy doing. He truly listened to who we were and made sure we had the best time. The sites are incredible and we had plenty of time to see everything that we wanted to see.

We booked a guide for a day in Luxor and we can not recommend them enough. We had a taxi and guide to ourselves and had a fantastic time. We went to the Valley of the Kings and walked over the top to the temple. It was great, our guide's knowledge was amazing and he recommended tombs to visit. We have been there before but this was far far better. We went to a small local restaurant which we would never have been to on a 'package tour' and again it was great. Im so glad I got to experience this tour. I didnt have much time to check out luxor, and decided to do a 1 day roundtrip to luxor , and then flew back to cairo in the late evening. Communication was great between the tour staff and I the entire time. My driver for the day upon arrival in Luxor (Ahmed) was amazing and so hospitable. The tour guide was also very knowledgeable and friendly. I learned so much on this tour, and enjoyed it thoroughly. My friend and I did a one day private tour in Luxar, we flew from Cairo to Luxar. We spent the day touring Luxar with our tour guide and Ahmed who was our driver. If I ever return to Egypt I will definitely stay in Luxar not Cairo, there is way more to see, so much cleaner and not as much people or traffic as in Cairo.
