On a full-day tour of Luxor, an expert taxi driver will guide you through the city’s most iconic sites so you can immerse yourself in its rich history. Your tour will start from your accommodation or Nile cruise and take you across both East and West Luxor, where ancient monuments and temple complexes reveal thousands of years of civilisation. As you move through the East Bank, you will see the vast Karnak Temple complex and the nearby Luxor Temple, each showing different styles and atmospheres. Crossing to the West Bank, you will explore the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut and enter the Valley of the Kings, the burial ground of Egypt’s pharaohs, which includes the tomb of Tutankhamun. Along the way you will also pause at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous statues that stand guard over the plain. You may add other sites in Luxor if you wish, to personalise the day. After a day of sightseeing and learning about the city’s past, you will be dropped back at your accommodation or Nile cruise.
