You will be picked up on time by your Egyptologist tour guide and driven north of Luxor. As you travel, you will pass through the daily life of rural Egypt and enjoy views of small villages along the way before arriving at Abydos temple. At Abydos you will visit the Osiris Temple, regarded as one of the most important temples in the world. Your Egyptologist guide will explain the temple’s history in detail and will show how religion influenced the development of pharaonic civilisation. As you move through the site, you will learn about the rituals and beliefs tied to Osiris and how those ideas shaped the way the pharaohs built and organised their monuments.
