You will be driven from Luxor to Aswan to visit several of the region’s most notable sites: the Temple of Edfu, the Temple of Kom Ombo, Philae Temple, the Unfinished Obelisk and the High Dam in Aswan. Along the route you will stop at each location to explore the monuments and take in the setting that surrounds them. At the temples you will see ancient architecture and carved surfaces that reflect Egypt’s long history. As you move through each site you will have time to appreciate differences in design and purpose between Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae. You will also see the Unfinished Obelisk, a striking example of ancient stone work, and the High Dam in Aswan, a major modern landmark. Throughout the experience you will encounter a mix of ancient and modern sights that tell different parts of the Nile’s story.
