On this two-day private tour of Cairo and its surroundings you will explore some of Egypt’s most famous ancient sites. You will visit the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, taking in their scale and setting on the Giza plateau. The tour also includes a visit to the Pyramid of Djosser, the oldest major stone structure on earth, where you will learn about its place in Egypt’s architectural history. The second day is given to the city’s museums and older districts. You will explore the Egyptian Museum and its extensive collection of artefacts, then move on to the historic Coptic Churches of Old Cairo. Together these visits will provide a broad perspective on ancient Egypt, from its monumental tombs to the religious and cultural heritage preserved in the city.
