Overview

Travel from the Red Sea to Cairo in air-conditioned vehicles and step into the heritage of Ancient Egypt. After a hotel pick-up, you’ll travel through the landscape to the Egyptian capital, with stops available whenever you require. On arrival, you’ll visit the Egyptian Museum on Tahrir Square and see one of the most comprehensive collections of Ancient Egyptian relics in the world. In the afternoon, you’ll be taken to the Giza Plateau to view the Great Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. The pyramids, built more than 4,500 years ago, were constructed as everlasting graves for the pharaohs Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos. You’ll also visit the Papyrus Museum and learn how ancient Egyptians used papyrus to record their civilisation. Along the way you’ll see the Sphinx — a statue with a pharaoh’s head and a lion’s body — that stands beside the pyramids. After your visits, transfers will return you to your hotel in Hurghada in the evening.
