This experience takes you through Cairo and Giza’s most famous sites. You’ll explore the Pyramids of Giza with an informative guide who will explain their history and secrets. You’ll also visit Saqqara, an important archaeological site with its own pyramids and ancient tombs, and see Memphis, the ancient Egyptian capital, as you learn about its role in Egypt’s past. On the next day you’ll visit the Great Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, one of the largest museums in the world, and then continue to notable Islamic monuments and Coptic churches around the city. Along the way you’ll get a sense of modern history and local traditions, finishing with time in the Khan Khalili bazaar to experience a traditional market atmosphere. The tour includes pick-up and drop-off at your requested location in air-conditioned vehicles. Guides have more than 15 years’ experience. Lunch and a bottle of water are provided during the day.
