This experience takes you through Egypt’s most famous ancient and historic sites. In Cairo you will visit the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx, then move on to the Egyptian Museum to see its collection. You’ll also explore Coptic Cairo and wander the streets of Khan Al Khalili in Islamic Cairo, getting a sense of the city’s layered religious and cultural history. You will then head south to Luxor, where you’ll see Hatshepsut Temple and the Valley of the Kings, with its royal tombs. Alongside these you will visit the vast Karnak Temples and the illuminated Luxor Temple, exploring monumental architecture and funerary sites that reveal elements of pharaonic life and belief. Throughout, you’ll have the chance to take in both the major highlights and the contrasts between Cairo’s urban heritage and Luxor’s ancient temple landscapes.
