Over three days you’ll explore some of Egypt’s most famous sites across Cairo and Alexandria. In Cairo you’ll see the Giza Pyramids and visit the ancient capital of Memphis before heading to Sakkara to view its older funerary monuments. You’ll also spend time inside the Egyptian Museum and at the Citadel, then explore the Coptic area and the bustling Khan Khalili Bazaar. In the evening you’ll go for a romantic dinner cruise on the River Nile, offering a different view of the city after dark. On the final day you’ll travel to Alexandria for an overview of the city’s historic waterfront and monuments. Highlights include the Qaitpay citadel, Pompey’s Pillar, a catacomb and the library. Along the way you’ll have opportunities to learn about the sites’ history and their place in Egypt’s long cultural story, with each stop revealing a different layer of ancient and medieval heritage.
