On this two-day tour from Luxor you will fly to Cairo, spend a night in the city and then return to your Luxor hotel. Your overnight stay will be at the Grand Pyramids Hotel in Cairo, where breakfast is provided. Over two days you will explore many of Cairo’s most famous historic sites. You will visit the Giza pyramids and the Sphinx, and you will see Sakkara with its ancient step pyramid. In Cairo’s main museum you will view a wide range of Egyptian artefacts. In Old Cairo you will visit the Hanging Church, then proceed to Islamic Cairo to explore its remarkable mosques and wander the local bazaars. Along the way you will have opportunities to learn about the history and cultural context of each site as you move between them.
