How events are ranked
Our ordering is chronological first: what happens soonest appears soonest. Where events compete for the same space on a page, completeness raises placement — because a complete listing is more useful to the person reading it.
What raises placement
- A complete lineup of artists or speakers
- Set times, or a detailed schedule
- A real price — or the event explicitly marked free
- Any minimum spend, stated upfront
- An age policy
- A genuine flyer image at a usable resolution
- A written Arabic title (not machine-translated)
- A verified venue with a full street address
- Human confirmation within the last 14 days
Paying us never affects ranking. Ever.
We do not sell positions in listings. If a placement is paid for, it sits in a fixed, visually distinct slot and is labelled as such — never interleaved with the ordinary results. Free events are never ranked below paid ones under any circumstances.
What we remove
Every event auto-expires once it has finished. Cancelled and postponed events are shown with a visible state rather than silently deleted, so anyone who was planning to go finds out what changed. And we never publish an event without a venue and a start time.
