An easy, atmospheric evening in the desert behind Hurghada, built around a sunset camel ride and the hospitality of a Bedouin oasis camp. Picked up from your hotel in the late afternoon, you drive out past the resort strip to where the dunes take over and a line of camels waits. Led by a handler, you ride out across the sand as the sun begins to drop — an unhurried, swaying pace that needs no experience, with the coastal mountains catching the last of the light. The ride reaches a Bedouin oasis camp, where you settle in for sweet tea and shisha and a glimpse of desert life away from the coast. As the sky turns from gold to deep blue the desert cools and quietens, and once darkness falls the stars come out in force — far enough from town for the Milky Way to show. It is a gentle three hours rather than an adventure, suitable for all ages, with a guide, transfers and refreshments all arranged so you can simply enjoy the light and the calm. A relaxed way to trade the beach for the desert and catch one of Hurghada's best sunsets from the back of a camel.
